Magnesium is necessary for proper functioning of the enzymes and regulating many elements of cell metabolism including the DNA, cell growth and cell reproduction.
Zinc: this important mineral plays a crucial role in cell development and assists in regulating and strengthening the immune system. One of the most important functions of zinc within the body is to synthesize the DNA.
The Moringa plant is one of the most potent sources of antioxidants, with more than 46 natural antioxidants. Antioxidants are important to the human body in two ways, firstly they provide free atoms to the body and secondly they help in alleviating the effect of free radicals from the human body. Flavonoid, quercetin, kaempferol, beta-sitosterol, caffeoylquinic acid and zeatin are some important antioxidant substances found in leaves. These antioxidants play a vital role in reducing the symptoms of aging and enhancing the overall cardiovascular health. Antioxidants, when combined with other essential vitamins and minerals makes this plant highly effective for medical uses, and this is one of the very reasons why health practitioners value Moringa.
